ABOUT ME
Game lovers unite
I don't need to "get a life." I have lived many lives.
I first discovered D&D in 1980, in the back room of my grandfather’s house where my cousin introduced me to the basic edition boxed set.
That first self-run adventure, where each fight was thrilling, where every sword strike did just one point of damage, set me on a new course. I told my mom about the game and she found the AD&D Player’s Guide in a garage sale. I mostly made characters back then, occasionally running a game for my siblings or cousins. During that time, I also read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi books and took up writing unfinished fiction, honing my ability to craft characters and plots.
In high school a friend introduced me to a group of thirty-somethings who were regular role-players. Their preferred game was Star Trek, and my flagging interest in role-playing roared back to life. I played in one of their Star Trek games, then bought the books to run one for my friends. That was thirty years ago, and I have been running and playing role-playing games ever since.

why I do it
I love a good story, where the heroes face great odds, make good and bad choices, and face consequences, and hopefully learn something along the way.
